Cretans did not build huge temples to their gods and did not speak Greek, so it is unknown if it had a patron god or goddess.
 Many Minoans became traders or sailers. They traded for food because Crete's land
was very poor to grow crops. However, the king of Crete strengthened the navy to support there trading&sailing.  Crete was ruled by king.
